Norman Bates – Founder, President & CTO
Norman provides business leadership and manages product development for Market ICE, LLC. In 1994 he founded Bates Computer Consultants, Inc. - both prior to and since, he has worked as a technology consultant and solution architect on real-time mission critical systems. In pursuit of custom solution business opportunities, his job responsibilities often require structuring and managing special engagement teams. Under his leadership, these teams have been successful, winning many $10-million plus contracts.

Norman has worked on advanced technology in the computer industry for 34 years and over the last 7 years has focused exclusively on atypical financial trading systems and solutions. The projects and assignments include direct-access execution systems, market data quote servers, custom analytic sub-systems, and distributed network aware end-user applications.

Notable assignments from which he draws unique experience for Market ICE include; special projects for the NSA, advanced simulator work for NASA and the Military's Stealth program, radar and sonar target identification systems, custom communication protocols, satellite image enhancement, terrain analysis, and facial recognition systems.

He has held previous positions as CTO and has been a member of the Board of Directors for two financial services technology start-up companies.

Kevin J. Liston – Vice President of Engineering
As Market ICE's Vice President of Engineering, Kevin manages new product development, product updates and upgrades, technical support, and customer satisfaction.

Kevin has over 25 years of experience in software design, development and delivery of real-time data acquisition and processing systems. He has led business segments and major programs in delivering new and custom products and solutions to various federal and defense agencies as well as the aerospace and automotive industries in the fields of High Performance Technical Computing, Internet security, Service Provider access, Data Warehouses and Enterprise Applications.

Prior to joining Market ICE, Kevin managed the software development organization at CellExchange responsible for developing and delivering the Five Vector Model application for the Navy Sea Warrior Program. Kevin previously worked for Hewlett Packard, Compaq and Digital Equipment Corp designing high performance real-time and custom solutions for both Domestic and International markets. As a Business Segment manager from 1997 to 2000, Kevin achieved $140M in sales revenue and from 2000 to 2003 he delivered $352M in high availability solutions.

Peter G. Ness – General Counsel & CFO
Peter was the co-founder of Manchester based AreteCapital Group. Peter has over 15 years of extensive transactional experience representing clients in mergers and acquisitions, private securities placements, debt, equity, and mezzanine financings, taxable and tax-free reorganizations, liquidations, stock redemptions, business succession planning, executive compensation, and corporate, partnership and individual tax planning. Peter's work experience includes positions with two Big Five Accounting Firms, corporate law firms, and most recently, he was General Counsel and Managing Director of a group of financial services companies.

Peter is an Attorney at Law licensed in Georgia, Massachusetts and New Hampshire, a Certified Public Accountant licensed in Georgia and New Hampshire, and a registered general securities principal holding the National Association of Securities Dealers' Series 22, 24, 28, 62, and 63 licenses. Peter holds a Master of Laws, in taxation, from Emory University, a Juris Doctor and Master of Business Administration in accounting and finance, from the University of South Carolina, and a Bachelor of Arts in American government from the University of Virginia. Peter is a member of the New Hampshire and American Bar Associations, the New Hampshire Society of CPAs, the American Institute of CPAs, and the American Association of Attorney-CPAs.

Brenda Butterfield – Controller
Brenda is one of the company's co-founders. Brenda has been involved with planning and coordination for a number of organizations and start-up companies in the financial software and services business. She has been instrumental over the course of the last 3-½ year development cycle and, in addition to her management effort, works tirelessly on beta-testing, sales and marketing.

Nathaniel J. Bates – Software Engineer
Nathaniel is a software consultant who brings with him over 10 years of experience in software design and development of client-server and embedded applications. Nate has also been responsible for the development of municipal government and commercial web sites, including the integration of existing legacy database systems as well as the deployment of multimedia and e-commerce technology. Nate is the lead software engineer of AutoTrader™ and developed both the analytic chart and real-time news components of the ClearView™ product. Nate holds a Bachelor's of Science degree in Computer Engineering from the University of Maine.
