Automatic Updater

ClearView contains an automatic update process to keep you current with the latest version of the product.

Each time you start ClearView, the first thing it does is run the updater.

When the updater is running while loading ClearView, you should see a little icon appear in the notification area of your Taskbar:

If the icon has a red "X", there has been an error when trying to update. This might be caused by a glitch when connecting to the server, and the updater will hopefully connect properly during the next start of ClearView. In the case where the updater has failed, ClearView should still run, but it won't be guaranteed to have the latest version. If you see the red "X" multiple times, please contact us.

New Version

If a new version of ClearView has been detected, the updater will pop up and guide you through the process if installing the updates.

Running Manually

It is possible to run the updater manually. The executable is:

Program Files \ Market ICE \ ClearView \ ClearView Updater.exe

Running the updater manually will cause it to operate in full mode. You will be presented with the user interface rather than having it run discretely on the Taskbar.
