Window Views

Q: When is it helpful to leave "Cascade Symbols" unchecked?
Leave "Cascade Symbols" unchecked when you wish to create a new layout in order to view many different stock chart symbols within one new window grouping. If this is selected, every time you type in a stock symbol in the window of a grouping it will automatically change all the windows in your layout to that one symbol in your group. You must leave it unselected in order to view many different stock charts in your layout.

Q: I've opened up a new Analytic Chart window and somehow it took up the whole monitor screen. Now I can't get it to minimize or go away!
Double click on the top right x button and it will minimize, then right click inside the top, in the name area and deselect "Protected" Now you may close the Analytic Chart window.

Q: I cannot close a window such as the Grid Query (the "X" will be gray colored instead of black).
By default all layout windows are 'protected' from being accidentally deleted out of the layout. To close a window in your layout, right click in the title bar of the window you wish to close and uncheck the "Protected" setting by clicking on it. Now your window can be closed by left clicking once on the "X" in the upper right corner of the window. Until you re-enable protection by right clicking in the title bar of any remaining window and clicking "Protected" you will be able to delete other windows in your layout by clicking on the "X" in the upper right corner of each window.

Application Questions

The ClearView™ software is licensed on a monthly basis, with discounts given for pre-paid longer term contracts. Included in the monthly fee is the "Standard" Realtime news package, pre and post market data, as well as Company Fundamentals. Please contact Market ICE at
http://www.marketice.com or via e-mail at sales@marketice.com to obtain current pricing information.

Q: How do I find out what version I am using without closing the software program?

Q: How do I make sure I have the latest version of ClearView™?

Q: Can I use ClearView™ with my dial-up internet connection?
While it is possible to connect to the Market Data Server over a dial-up connection, it is strongly discouraged due to the large amount of realtime data being processed by the ClearView™ application. A broadband or faster connection is the minimum supported configuration for use with ClearView™.

Q: Does ClearView™ provide order entry?
Yes. ClearView™ comes bundled with an integrated version of MB Trading's order execution interface. The ClearView component, "MBT Order Execution", requires that users have the MBT Navigator software on their computer as well as either a live or demo MB Trading account. Please visit
www.mbtrading.com for more information.

Q: How far back does ClearView™ historical data go?
ClearView™ maintains historical data for a period of one year.
